Torrox Costa is a tourism-oriented town on the Costa del Sol in the province of Málaga, which lies in one of Spain's 17 autonomous regions, Andalusía, on the country's southern, Mediterranean coast.

It is 40 kilometres from the airport of Malaga and less than 10 kilometres from the Nerja village and from its famous caves.
Torrox is within 1 hour 15 minutes drive of the Alhambra in the city of Granada, and 30 minutes more to skiing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Torrox Costa has one of the best climates in Europe.

Axarquia is a region of Andalucía. It is the wedge-shaped area east of Málaga. Its capital is Vélez-Málaga and the coin is the axarco. The Vélez, Algarrobo and Torrox rivers all run through the region. Its highest mountain is La Maroma. Its name is Moorish and means Oriental.
The Costa del Sol is a region which comprises the coastal towns and communities in the Málaga province, along the Mediterranean coastline. It is in the south of Spain, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. The name translates as "Coast of the Sun" in English. It includes the towns of Málaga, Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, San Pedro de Alcántara, Vélez-Málaga, Nerja, Torrox, Puerto Banús and Estepona.
